Well, here I am, fishing for iPhone apps, and a find a way to update MDR from my phone. Good times!
Don't like what I have to say? That's cool. I'll burn down your family and eat your dog.
Well, here I am, fishing for iPhone apps, and a find a way to update MDR from my phone. Good times!
I absolutely love Facebook this morning. It continues to introduce me to some of the most amazing people on this planet. A friend is going through some rough times, she posted to that effect on Facebook, and I gave her some reassuring words. Jesse Tipton, Jr. had something important that he had to share:

Wow. All I can say is, “Wow.” He sure told me!
I don’t have time to look it up right now, but I’ll post all of his personal information here and turn him over to the Internet Hate Machine a little later.
I’m already kinda short on time, as I need to get to the office soon, but I wanted to throw a quick update out here… So here’s the Cliffs Notes version.
- I spent 9 months unemployed after things ended with Amazon. It was heartbreaking and did a number on my self-worth, but… hey. I’m tough. I flip out and do shit over the top. I managed. Unemployment actually turned out to be some pretty damn productive time.
- I got hired by the US FDA as the assistant to the Director of Microbiology. I worked as kind of a “part secretary, part IT, part process manager, part HR” kind of guy. So that was cool. It was an extremely pleasing, extraordinarily fulfilling job. I’m honored to have gotten the chance to be there.
- Two weeks ago on Wednesday, I received a phone call out of the blue, offering me a job at the weather shop on Vandenberg AFB, where I’d be working as an observer. I’d have to leave in just a week–but leave I did, and now I live on the Southern end of the Central California coast. I’ll be supervising a small team of observers, I’ll be launching balloons into the upper atmosphere for sounding data, and I’ll be helping the US put rockets into orbit. I feel pretty good about this new job.
I’ve tried before to get back into blogging regularly and keeping things updated, but it doesn’t always work out. It’s my intent, though, to post more about the last job, this new one, and keep people posted about awesome events going down on base. I’ll have some photos and video of our work posted soon.
